Summary: Oral history of Mr. Huynh Van Chinh, who also goes by the name of Trung Chinh. He was born in My Tho, Vietnam in 1943 and was a medical doctor of the Army 1971 until the war ended in 1975. During the interview he described his experience growing up in a poor family, his schooling, and then his time in the Army. When the war ended, he was sent to reeducation camp for one year, released to work at a hospital in ChoLon and then escaped Vietnam by boat and passed through Pulau Bidong, Malaysia. He resettled in Denver, Colorado through a sponsor. In 2000, he came to settle down in Los Angeles, California.
