Description: Scope/Content: While it is unclear when this small scrap was written, its importance is indicated by its inclusion in Hugh Everett's thesis notes file. The main point concerns Everett's belief that the theory of the universal wave function captured Bohr's talk of complementarily, which he took here to amount to rules of thumb for engineers, in a clear and consistent way that did not require one to deny the possibility of providing a quantum-mechanical understanding of the classical behavior an observer and his measurement apparatus. Also of interest is Everett's comment that one not insist that everything in the correlation structure be measurable.
Scope/Content: This document was found in the basement of Mark Everett in 2007 by Mark Everett and Peter Byrne.
