Summary: An oral history with Mr. Nghi Moc Chau, who was born in May 17, 1956. He grew up in a farming village in Bac Lieu province and is of Chinese heritage. He left Vietnam in 1979 as a boat refugee to Malaysia. He spent two years in refugee camp before being sponsored to America in 1981 where he settled in Long Beach. He discusses keeping Vietnamese traditions, the differences in generations, and his appreciation for America. He has a wife and three children and still resides in Long Beach, California.
