Description
Scope/Content: An oral history of Mr. Joseph Ba Pham, a resident in The Grove Senior Apartments, born in 1938 in Ninh Binh, Vietnam. The interview focused on his life and his view on the changing world around him, since he used to be a political scientist in Vietnam. He heard of the Oral History Project through one of his friends in The Grove. He excitedly volunteered to be interview so that he can share his views about the world with the next generation. Scope/Content: The objective of this project is to collect voluntary life narratives of Vietnamese American senior citizens living in The Grove Senior Apartments (Garden Grove, Calif.). Along with these audio-recorded life stories, we collected materials such as photographs and documents to be indexed and archived with their stories in UC Irvine Libraries Southeast Asian Archive, as part of the Vietnamese American Oral History Project.
