Description: Scope/Content: Photo in "Beach Rat Pix", p. 179. Pirate Days were an annual celebration held by Balboa merchants and residents in order to draw more people to the area. It had to be cancelled after only a few years because “some of the participants became a little too carried away in the role of pirates”. Coast Guard boat is pictured in the background.
